The body. A rounded square of molded plastic that fits inside a closed hand. Fine teeth run along one edge and wider teeth along the other, with the steel blade seated just behind them.
Two snap-on covers. One for each toothed edge. Snap them on after every cut and the blade stays protected in your bag, ready for the next touch-up.
The dial on the face. Turn it to change how far the blade sits out from the comb teeth. The supplier calls it the blade-height control, and it lets you take a little or a little more.

Lift the comb plate and you can see it: a flat steel blade in a shallow bay, the same wafer shape used in a double-edge safety razor, held in place by a small bar across the middle. Sharp where it counts, so each pass gives a clean cut.

Comb the section straight down so every hair lies the same way. Then rest the teeth flat against the hair and draw the comb down through the ends.

Rinse the hair out of the teeth and dry the comb before you put the covers back on.
