Save your knees on the way down
Going up is a lungs-and-legs problem, and it ends when you reach the top. Going down is a joint problem, and it lasts the entire descent: every step is your body weight landing on one bent leg, over and over, for an hour or more.
A pole moves a share of each landing into your arm and into the ground ahead of you, so your knee is not absorbing all of it alone. You finish the hike with energy left and wake up the next morning feeling it far less.
A third point of contact changes the ground
Two feet make a line. Add a pole and you have a triangle, which is why the same loose traverse feels different with one in your hand. You plant, test what the ground is doing, then commit your weight. On mud, wet roots, scree and stream crossings, the pole does the asking so your ankle does not have to answer. Your balance on uneven ground, rocks, mud and snow gets a real boost.

The locks are the whole product
A telescopic pole is only as good as the thing holding its length. These use external quick-lock levers: flip open, pull to length, snap shut. You can see and hear that a lever is closed, and you can adjust one mid-descent without taking your gloves off. Twist-locks hide their state inside the shaft; a lever shows you at a glance that your length is locked, so you walk with confidence from the first step to the last.
Small enough that you actually bring it
A pole strapped to the outside of your pack is a pole you stop bringing by the third trip. This one breaks into five sections and folds to 11.8 in, which fits a daypack pocket, a suitcase or a glovebox. It comes out at full walking height in a few seconds, so it is there on the days you were not planning a walk.
Setting your height
Two minutes once, and you stop thinking about it.
- On the flat. Extend until your elbow sits at roughly a right angle with the tip planted beside your foot.
- Going up. Take a little length out, so you are never reaching above your shoulder to plant.
- Going down. Add length, so the tip reaches the ground below you without making you stoop. This is where it earns its keep.
- Every time. Snap each lever fully closed and the pole holds your length all day.

One pole or two?
Two share the load evenly and help most on long, steep descents with a heavy pack. One is lighter, simpler, and leaves a hand free for a gate, a dog lead or a camera. If one knee is the one that complains, one pole on that side is often all you want. Each pole is sold individually, so add two to your cart for a pair.
For every trail, every day
Anyone whose knees complain on descents. Pack carriers, because weight on your back changes your balance and a third contact point restores it. Coastal paths, forest trails, river crossings and snow. Recovery walks where confidence matters more than pace. And travel, because it folds small enough to pack for a trip where you are not yet sure whether there will be hills.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get one pole or two?
Each pole is sold individually. Add two to your cart for a matched pair.
What do the 11.8 in and 14.2 in sizes mean?
That is the folded length, how small it packs. Both extend to about 43 in (110 cm) of walking height.
How tall does it extend?
Roughly 43 in (110 cm), which suits most adult walkers on the flat. Set it shorter for climbs and longer for descents.
Will the locks hold under my weight?
Yes. The quick-lock levers hold the set length under load. Snap each one fully closed after extending and it stays put.
Is it strong enough to lean on?
It is an aluminum alloy walking pole built for hiking loads: bracing on descents, steadying on crossings, taking weight step to step.
Can I take it on a trip?
Yes. Folded to 11.8 in it slips into a suitcase, a checked bag, a daypack pocket or a glovebox with room to spare.
Which color should I choose?
Pick on preference. The pole is identical across all five colors, and green comes in the 11.8 in folded length.
Is there a guarantee?
