The shopping rides home on the bike, and your back stays dry
A bare rear rack is a shelf. Anything you put on it has to be tied down: a bungee over the bag, a net over the bungee, and a glance back every few hundred yards to check it is all still there. Most people give up and wear a rucksack instead, which puts the weight high on your back and soaks your shirt by the time you get home.
This is a walled heavy-duty steel basket that bolts on top of that shelf. A full grocery run, a commuter bag, a helmet, a jacket, a ball, a toolbox: it drops in, the sides hold it, and you ride. Nothing to thread, nothing to hook, nothing to re-tighten at the lights. As one buyer put it: "Can't believe I biked for years without a rear basket. This thing is a game changer."
Bolts onto the rear rack you already have, in minutes
The basket sits flat on top of a conventional rear luggage rack, the tubular platform over your back wheel, and clamps there with four screws through two slotted steel bars. The screws, nuts, washers, bars, a hex key and a spanner are all in the box, so you go from parcel to first loaded ride in one short session in the garage. Buyers: "Quick install, stable ride", "Easy to install and makes biking to the farmers market a breeze".
The slots let you line the screws up with racks of different widths, and you can turn the basket ninety degrees and mount it along the rack instead of across it if that suits your bike better. Road bike, hybrid, cruiser, old Schwinn, cargo bike or e-bike: if it carries a rear rack, this bolts straight to it. "Fit on my old Schwinn perfectly." "Installed on my hybrid and it looks like it belongs there."
Cold shopping that is still cold when you get home
The bag that goes inside the basket is built in three layers: a waterproof-coated polyester outer, a padded insulating middle, and a quilted aluminium-foil lining. The frozen peas and the milk ride home insulated instead of sitting in the sun for the whole trip back.
The same lining works the other way for a hot takeaway or a flask, and because the foil layer is sealed, a leaking carton stays in the bag instead of running through the basket. Roll the top, clip the two buckles, and everything inside stays dry through a shower.
Three sets, so you buy exactly what you need
The option menu above gives you three ways to buy:
- Bicycle Bag. The three-layer insulated roll-top bag on its own. Choose this if you already have the basket, or you want the bag for a rack box or front basket you already own
- Basket. The heavy-duty steel basket with its complete fitting kit: four screws, two slotted mounting bars, washers, nuts, hex key and spanner. Everything you need to mount it
- Basket & Bag. The complete set and the best value: the basket, all the fittings, and the insulated bag that drops inside it and lifts out to carry indoors
The bag lifts out. The basket stays bolted on.
Unclip the roll-top, lift the bag straight out, and the shopping comes indoors in one trip instead of in armfuls off the back of the bike. The basket itself is bolted to the rack, so it stays rigid and rattle-free over kerbs, cobbles and dirt roads ride after ride. "Stays put over cobblestones and doesn't creak, that alone makes it worth it." "Was worried it might rattle but nope, sits tight."
Built to carry real weight
This is heavy-gauge coated steel tube welded into a walled box, on a flat slotted floor plate that spreads the load across the rack. It carries the loads that bend a cheap wire basket in a month: a full grocery run, a stack of textbooks, a laundry bag, a cooler, a weekend's camping gear. Because the weight sits low over the back wheel, the bike keeps its balance and handles the way it did empty.
"Heavy-duty is not an exaggeration, this carried a full grocery run and the bike still handled smoothly." "I hauled a heavy laundry bag and a box of books and the basket barely flexed." "This replaced an old basket that bent after a month and I honestly can't believe the difference, no sagging and very stable. The welded joints are rock solid." "I loaded it with camping gear for a weekend and the basket didn't budge, held everything fine on rough dirt roads."
The matte black powder coat shrugs off weather too: "Weather has been rough but the powder coat keeps rust at bay and the basket is still solid." The basket weighs 5.6 lb and the bag 1.8 lb, so there is plenty of your rack's rated load left for the shopping.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my bike?
It fits any bike with a conventional rear luggage rack over the back wheel, because it bolts to the rack rather than to the frame. Wheel size, disc brakes and frame material make no difference; the rack sits between this and all of them. Your rack's platform takes an 18.5 × 13.4 in footprint, and the slotted bars adjust to racks of different widths.
What does my bike need?
A rear rack. This is the basket that goes on top of it, with every bolt and bar supplied. If your bike currently has bare frame eyelets, fit a rear rack first and this bolts straight on in minutes.
Does it work on an e-bike?
Yes. It bolts to the rack, and most e-bikes come with a rear rack already fitted. Many buyers run it on cargo and electric bikes for deliveries and errands: "I use this on my cargo bike for neighborhood deliveries and it handles heavy loads easily." Position it so your rear light and a rack-mounted battery keep their clearance, and it is ready to go.
How long does fitting take, and what do I need?
Everything needed is supplied: four screws, two slotted bars, a hex key and a spanner. Sit the basket on the rack, line the slots up with a solid part of the rack platform, and do the four screws up. Most buyers are riding within fifteen minutes of opening the box.
Can I take it off again quickly?
The bag lifts out in seconds: unclip the two buckles and carry it indoors. The basket is bolted on, which is exactly why it stays rock solid over kerbs and cobbles, and it comes off again with the supplied spanner whenever you want the bare rack back.
Can I still use panniers?
The basket sits on the top platform and leaves the side rails free, so panniers that hook onto the rails go on as before. Check where your own bags' upper hooks grip and you will know in a glance.
Is the bag waterproof?
The fabric is waterproof-coated and the foil lining is sealed, so rolled shut it keeps a shower out and keeps a leaking carton in. Roll the top down tight and clip both buckles in heavier rain and the shopping arrives dry.
Will a loaded basket change how the bike handles?
Weight low over the back wheel is the most stable place to carry it, far better than on the handlebars or on your back. Buyers say it over and over: "heavy items don't pull the wheel or change handling", "a low center of gravity so handling stays predictable", "doesn't mess with my balance even when full". Keep the heavy items low and centered and the bike rides the way it always has.
