Ultralight alcohol burner · mini camping stove
A pocket-size flame for a hot cup anywhere.
A tiny liquid-alcohol burner with a copper-colored coil on top, small enough to drop into a jacket pocket and simple enough to have no moving parts beyond its knob.
Pair it with the matching star-cutout pot stand to heat a camping cup of water for tea or coffee at the campsite, on a picnic, or in a backyard power cut, wherever you can set it up safely outdoors.
In use
Set it down, light it, heat your cup.
The burner sits inside the two-piece pot stand, which holds a small camping cup or pot above the flame. The stand's plates slot together into a cross and come apart flat for packing.
Alcohol stoves are quiet and have no hoses, valves or gas canisters to carry. It runs on denatured alcohol or ethanol fuel, which you buy separately.
Two setups
Burner only, or the full kit.
Burner only: the burner, seated in its gray base ring. Choose this if you already have a stand or windscreen.
Burner + pot stand kit: the burner and base ring, plus the two-plate pot stand, a gray drawstring storage pouch and a small empty squeeze bottle for carrying a little fuel.
Fuel, cups and pots are not included with either setup.
Packs small
Smaller than a coffee mug.
The burner is about 1.6 in across, and the assembled pot stand is about 2.8 in tall and 2.4 in wide. Everything fits in the included pouch and disappears into a backpack lid or hip-belt pocket.
Three finishes on an aluminum-alloy body: silver, gold and brown.
Safety first
Using an alcohol stove safely.
- Outdoors only. Use it in the open air on a flat, stable, non-flammable surface such as bare rock, gravel or a metal tray, away from tents, dry grass and leaves.
- The flame can be hard to see. An alcohol flame is pale blue and almost invisible in daylight. Treat the stove as lit until you are certain it is out.
- Never refuel while lit or hot. Let the burner go out and cool completely before adding fuel, moving it or packing it away.
- Fuel separately and labeled. Store fuel in its original, clearly labeled container, sealed, away from food and out of reach of children.
- Stay with it. Never leave a lit stove unattended, and keep children and pets away from it.
